Criminal Codes and Pretrial Assessment
|
|
Advancing Pretrial Policy and Research (APPR) developed the Crime Code Finder to assist jurisdictions using the Public Safety Assessment (PSA), an actuarial pretrial assessment. To properly score the PSA, assessors need access to complete and accurate information about a person’s prior misdemeanor and felony convictions. The Crime Code Finder compiles information from 54 jurisdictions to give assessors a single, no cost, source from which to determine if criminal offenses are classified as misdemeanors or felonies.
